ABOUT HARBOR

Our Story

Margie with my grandpa, after her fall.

Harbor Home Access started with my grandmother, Margie. After several hip surgeries, I watched everyday activities become increasingly difficult for her. One Thanksgiving, she arrived with a black eye after falling while stepping over her bathtub. I saw how her changing mobility affected not only her confidence and independence, but our entire family. We wanted her to be safe and comfortable at home, while carrying the worry and responsibility that so many family caregivers know firsthand.

I often wished we could have made her home safer before something happened, in a way that preserved the character of the home she loved.

That experience inspired me to start Harbor. Based in Ventura, we help families create safer, more accessible homes. Our mission is to help people maintain their independence while giving caregivers greater peace of mind, less worry, and more confidence that their loved ones are safe at home. We believe thoughtful accessibility should make life easier for everyone, without sacrificing the beauty of home.
